Can I reuse edging pegs if I move my garden layout?
Often yes. If you’re re-shaping a temporary border, you can lift the garden pegs, reposition the edging and peg it back down. Check for bending or damage before reusing.
Are garden edging pegs visible once installed?
Usually not much. Most garden edging pegs sit low and get covered by mulch, stones or turf once the border is finished. All Tuscan Path edging is designed with a paired peg, the goal is a clean edge without obvious hardware.
Do I need garden pegs for all edging types?
In most cases, yes. Flexible borders like rubber or plastic need garden pegs to hold the shape you’ve created. Even metal edging can benefit from pegging at joins, curves and ends so it stays neat.
How do I install metal edging?
It’s easy to install metal edging - we recommend heading to our How-to Guides page and following on with our video and written instructions. At a simple level you can generally install any metal edging by doing the following - lay out the line, tap the metal edging into position, then secure with supplied spikes or connectors. Check levels as you go so the top line looks consistent. Backfill on both sides to lock it in.
Is metal edging safe around kids and pets?
Installed correctly, yes. Make sure the top of the metal edging sits flush or just above soil level and that cut ends are capped or buried so there are no exposed sharp edges.
Tuscan Path metal edging all also features a top and bottom rolled edge so there are less exposed raw metal edges, making it safer around kids and pets.
Can I form curves with metal edging garden products?
Many metal edging garden systems can flex to follow gentle curves, tree rings and flowing bed shapes. For tight, organic curves, slimmer gauge sections are easier to work with.
